We often talk about events but we must admit that in the last year it has been difficult to experience the magic and tell you about it. And if there is no longer the joy and sparkle of the past, what remains to illuminate a celebratory night? The stars and the beauties that make us dream with their charm and their very elegant outfits.
So we certainly could not dedicate a news to the wonderful Margot Robbie who wore a Chanel dress fot the 93rd Academy Awards, held in two different locations such as the Dolby Theater in Hollywood and Union Station in Los Angeles. Margot Robbie attended the 93rd Academy Awards as the producer of the film “Promising Young woman” which won the Best Original Screenplay Award and was nominated for 5 Oscars.
The actress appeared in all the charm of her in a custom Chanel mermaid dress made of metallic lace. Neckline on the back for this dress with thin straps and jewel buttons on the neckline. The dress took 205 hours of work. To complete the look a Chanel bag and a make-up signed by the maison. There was certainly no shortage of jewels including Ruban Mademoiselle Perles earrings, the “Voie Lactée ring in 18K white gold, pearls and diamonds, Coco Crush rings in white gold and white diamonds. Margot Robbie declared: “I chose this dress because it has all the craftsmanship and luxury of Chanel but feels easy and not too fussy.
The fabric is extraordinary and the shine felt exciting and appropriate for the Oscars. I loved the fabric when I saw it for the first time at the Fall-Winter 2019/20 Haute Couture show in Paris, where I was a guest in July 2019. I have learned so much about Haute Couture and am so impressed by the skills of the artisans. The fact that every stitch is made by a human hand is truly awe inspiring.
It is a beautiful traditional savoir-faire and Virginie Viard is bringing a modern, feminine sensibility. It always feels like a special moment when I’m wearing Chanel but tonight was even more special because we finally got to see everyone from our film “Promising Young Woman” again in person!”
